I got a new haircut. The last time I got a haircut was in September. I am probably one of the laziest people in the world when it comes to my hair. In fact, the only reason I made the appointment for this haircut was because Eric kept bugging me. (Not that I blame him, my hair hasn't been looking really stellar lately.) Every time I get a haircut (which really is about every six months), I tell myself that I am going to be more diligent about maintaining it. And I never am. When I think about people who dye their hair and maintain it, it blows my mind. I just can't bear the thought of redying my hair or re-doing highlights every six weeks. The cost alone keeps me from any sort of permanent coloring of my hair. And so, I do my usual short cut that gradually becomes shoulder-length before I go get it hacked off again.
Am I completely bizarre in only getting my hair cut a couple of times each year? Are you as low-maintenance with your hair as I am?

TOTALLY the same - hence I gradually become the "bun lady" - it's an unfortunate never-ending lose-lose sorta cycle. I also of course determine to maintain my new cute look each time I get my hair cut....but,....yeah...
Yeah. So cute.
Also, ps, people dye their hair to get it YOUR color, so no extras necessary. As for self-dying--you can do it every few months for less than ten bucks. Highlights, etc, every month and half, like you mention does cost a fortune, with the results not lasting much longer.
Sherry, how could you, your one beauty! I do believe this is your best cut yet.
Hmm, my last hair cut was in May. So yes, I am very bad about getting my hair cut. I trim my own bangs and I'll probably make Bart cut my hair sometime soon. But I just like my hair long better.
Last hair cut was last summer??? Trim my own bangs.
Your cut is sooo cute!
No and yes.
My last trip to a hairdresser was 11 years ago.
I win.
I trim my own.
It took me 16 years to realise - when you have curls, no one can tell anyway.
I get mine cut every 6 weeks and I do have highlights which I get done every 12 weeks and yes it does cost me a little but I see it as my pamper day and I always say well I work 4 nights a week I deserve a treat. I have tried to grow my hair longer but Dave says I look like a cave woman. So my cut is the "bob" look
or as Nicholas calls it the Willy Wonka look
I thought I should also mention that if my hair gets long - it's not because I'm growing it out long - yup, I'm just LAZY :P
I'm with you. I was the same way until I started having to dye regularly. I've gotten really gray and I'm just NOT okay with that until I'm much older. I sometimes dye at home, but sometimes the cost of going to a cheap hairdresser is worth it when I factor in supplies, effort, time, etc. And once you're there for a color - might as well get a cut.
The timing of my hair cuts is not determined by need but by availability of my mom to cut it for me. For free.
I last got mine cute almost a year and a half ago. I go to a friend who's a hairdresser who does it for super cheap in her dining room instead of a salon. And I kind of just go whenever I feel like it. Right now I think my long hair is hot, so I probably won't go again until it starts destroying itself when I reach critical length.
